Plano is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Plano is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. I’m sorry to say this, but I’m very disappointed with my experience today. The store’s opening time is listed as 8:30 AM. I arrived at 8:55 AM, but the staff said they were not ready. I came back at 9:20 AM, and even then two items were still unavailable. Those items were finally served around 9:35 AM. If the restaurant cannot serve customers at the advertised opening time, please consider updating the store hours to avoid disappointing customers. As for the food, this was my third visit in the last two months after recently moving to Dallas. During my first two visits, both the food and service were excellent, which is why I decided to return. Unfortunately, today’s experience was completely different. Except for the idly and poori, almost every other item was below average. The taste, quality, and overall experience were very disappointing. I asked one of the staff members if the chef had recently changed, and they confirmed that there was a new chef. It’s disappointing to see such a big decline in quality. Based on today’s experience, I don’t think I’ll be visiting this restaurant again.

We went here as a group of 5...we took the thali (only banana leaf one was available on weekends)... Food was tasty for most things... Chicken curry and fry, both were very nice.. Enough spice... Fish fry was bad... It was bland and tasteless. Mutton was ok ok. All the flavored rice were nice. Veg thali was disappointing to say the least, except the paneer curry. Should have given more options, especially when charging so much. Not only that the veg food was delayed, nothing was piping hot, everything was Luke warm at the best.

Verdict: Room for Improvement Visited yest with friends for Dinner as have been hearing a lot due to recent publicity across. Unfortunately Most of the items listed in Menu were not available. Upon asking it was conveyed its soft launch. Tandoori chicken- Decent Fish Apollo - Not bad Not good Goat fry biryani- my friends said it’s flavorful Chicken Dum biryani - Decent Forgot to mention their Raitha is good and so salaan which is thick and not watery like most of the other restaurants! Gulab Jamoon - Not restaurant made but tin. Bad Service was attentive and interactive

Sometimes it's a good thing to not get what you were wanting. I went there looking for thali, but got there too late. So I tried something new, Navaratan Korma. Wow, it was fantastic! Even the rice was delicious by itself. I'm looking forward to eating the leftovers. Service was friendly and attentive. It was my first time there, next time I'm in the area I'll have to come again!

We had such a wonderful experience at Dil Se Desi! Every single dish in their thali was delicious. What stood out even more was the management. They were prompt, attentive, and genuinely cared about our experience. They kept checking in for feedback and made sure we were enjoying everything, which made the whole dining experience feel very welcoming. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving desi food served with great hospitality! 💛

This place is adorable!! We were gonna go in and just grab takeout but the atmosphere was so cute we decided to dine in. Adorable murals and dazzling decorations. The staff was so sweet, so helpful, so kind, we had such a wonderful time. Our food was divine. The samosas were worth the wait and the paneer was amazing. We will definitely be coming back here and getting extra servings next visit!!

Ohhhh my goodness. What a meal. I saw Dosas being made on YouTube and wanted some badly. I was never around a Dosaria(just made that up) hungry but today I just showed up to give it a try. My oh my what a delicious dish. I ordered the potato Dosa. I was amazed at the flavor of the dosa and the chutney. There was a stew that I forgot the name of (only because I was very impressed with the flavor) that was so good it was made with LOVE!!! I cannot wait to come back to try the others. The staff was very helpful and courteous. You must come here!! P.S. Just got here while the Panipuri (hope I spelled it right) cart was going... my oh my what a delicious treat!! And explosion of flavor! What an exceptional eatery!!

We found this place through the influencer *Thindam Mawa* and decided to give it a try. Drove about 1.5 hours, and it was totally worth it. Tried mushroom pockets for the first time and really liked them—never had this dish before, but the flavor was spot on. Mutton chops were well cooked, tender, and tasty. The Vijayawada paneer biryani was excellent—medium spice, perfectly balanced with the rice, and not too heavy. The ambience is another plus. The place is clean, pleasant, and comfortable, making it great for both family dining and casual outings. On top of all this, the staff is super nice, and the hospitality is exceptional. Very polite, attentive, and welcoming throughout the visit. Overall, great food, nice ambience, and outstanding service. Definitely a place worth visiting, even if it means driving a long distance.
